Outdoor Wedding Adventure

View More Photos

Jennifer and Lee are an outdoor loving, adventurous couple. They met at a shared previous employer and mutual friend. Jennifer noticed Lee from the beginning when a coworker asked if she was interested in anybody in their office during a holiday party. Their mutual friend shared the pair’s contact information and Jennifer reached out before getting on a flight to Denver for the New Year. Since their initial meeting was before the holidays, Lee waited to text Jennifer back. When he responded, the two were inseparable ever since! The couple got to know each other spending time hiking, fishing, camping, and traveling. When Lee proposed, wedding planning began. The couple knew they wanted to incorporate their sense of adventure into their wedding. When exploring Elkmont as an engaged couple, they came across Spence Cabin in the Smoky Mountains and knew that the location was their dream venue.

To highlight the natural aesthetic of their wedding day, Jennifer and Lee selected fresh greenery, neutral colors, and vintage elements in their design. Handmaid signs welcomed each guest to the venue and marked features such as the guest book table. Guests could drop of their wedding gifts and sign a custom art piece for the couple to later feature in their home. Baby’s breath and lace featured throughout the venue along with in each flower girl’s wedding day look. Jennifer’s maid of honor wore complementing soft blush gowns. Jennifer wore a fitted lace gown with details that sparkled to complete her wedding day style. She carried a fresh floral bouquet filled with eucalyptus, white hydrangeas, and blush roses. Lee and his best man wore grey suits and blush rose boutonnieres.

The couple’s wedding took place mainly outdoors offering many versatile photography sites which was an important aspect from the moment they began planning. The couple captured their wedding party photos and shared a first look before the ceremony. After the ceremony, the couple ventured to a nearby waterfall to capture memories. Jennifer and Lee celebrated alongside their guests in a micro-style wedding allowing for a more intimate setting.  At the end of the event, the pair chose a bubble exit as a grand exit alternative adding a final element of fun to their dream day!
