Timeless Vintage Wedding

View More Photos

Jonathan and Jesse met while leading their church in worship together. Jesse had just started attending this new church and Jonathan just happened to be filling in for the band’s usual guitarist that was out for the week. Jonathan and Jesse love to hike. On a family vacation to Gatlinburg, they decided to hike Rainbow Falls. A few minutes into their hike Jonathon decided that they should check out a stream just a little bit off of the trail. After looking at it for a little bit, Jesse was anxious to get their hike started. Jonathan stopped her and said “ Jesse, you know I love you, and you know I want to spend the rest of my life with you?” and as her heart dropped to her stomach he got down on a knee and asked her to marry him. Through all of the happy tears, Jesse was able to get out a “yes!”!

“Old Hollywood” vibes had always caught Jesse’s eye. One of her role models is even Audrey Hepburn. So she knew exactly the kind of wedding she had always wanted. She wanted her wedding to be two things: timeless and classic. Simple colors with clean lines and some modern design were the recipe to her dream wedding. The couple chose to get married in sleek used to be bank venue called the Vault. This venue provided the perfect mix of old and new.

The groom and his groomsmen wore deep blue suits while Jesse’s bridesmaids wore more of a dusty blue colored dress. The color was perfect for a spring wedding and it flattered everyone! Jesse’s wedding dress was a long-sleeve lace gown with a long flowing veil. The dress and veil together were such a glamorous vintage look that is tied in with their theme perfectly.

With so many magical moments on their wedding day to choose between the couple shares their favorite part of their wedding day as being the moment when Jesse walked down the aisle. They didn’t have a first look because Jonathan always wanted that magical moment of seeing his bride in her dress for the first time when she walks down the aisle to him.

Jonathan and Jesse both come from loving religious homes and knew that they wanted to incorporate their faith into their wedding ceremony. The two decided that they would do this by taking communion during their ceremony. During that moment the couple was able to look around the room and see all of the people that were witnessing them join their lives together. They say that they still remember that amazing feeling today.

Jesse and Jonathan advise other couples who are planning their wedding to slow down and enjoy this season in life because it won’t last forever. The excitement and giddiness of planning a wedding is an amazing time for you and your fiancé. Make sure that you enjoy every moment of this time as an engaged couple.
