Maddie and Lee know how to throw a party and their wedding was a night that their guests will never forget!

They met in high school and were always friends, but they never dated. Their friends had always told them that they were perfect for each other but they never believed them. Finally, during their freshmen year of college, they began dating and they say that the rest is history! Maddie and Lee had been going to church together for seven years when Lee asked Maddie if she wanted to become a member and join their church. Maddie was brought up on stage during the Christmas Eve service in front of hundreds of people as the pastor started talking about her and Lee’s relationship. Finally, the pastor invited Lee up onto the stage and he got down on one knee to ask her to marry him!

The couple had always dreamed of getting married in a church so they were thrilled to start planning their hometown church wedding at a venue that had housed so much history of their relationship. Maddie knew that she wanted a rustic but still modern theme so having their reception outdoors was the perfect fit for them. They wanted a wedding and reception that really showed off their personality to their friends and family.

One of the main goals that the couple had for their wedding was to highlight who they are as individuals and as a couple. Maddie opted for a classic gown that shocked her and her friends because of her bubbly personality. She said that her favorite accessory of the day had to be her unique bridal shoes! They matched her spunky fuchsia bridesmaids’ dresses and also reflected her personality perfectly!

Maddie and Lee splurged on their food at their wedding to make sure that their big day reflected them as a couple. They incorporated their favorite foods into their wedding day by having a pizza party reception! While they were dancing the night away, Mr. Slice from Papa Johns delivered pizza as a late night snack. Maddie and Lee advise other couples to not lose sight of what their big day actually represents and to not get too caught up in things that can’t be changed. They are so thankful that they were able to have fun and focus on each other while planning their wedding, that they challenge other couples to do the same.
