Elegant Vineyard Wedding
Melissa and Adam’s wedding story was definitely one for the books. The two had such a classic, elegant wedding at the Athena Farm and Vineyard in Beckley, West Virginia. The wedding venue is a charming, inviting, and romantic wedding destination in Southern West Virginia. If you are loving this wedding venue then be sure to check them out! Melissa’s vision of their wedding was elegance, with simplistic yet tastefulness, and the setting that Athena Farm and Vineyards offered, was perfect for that. It was landscaped with flowers, gazebos, and ponds. The two had their ceremony outside under the beautiful trees following their reception on the patio under the tree lights! When it came to their attire, Melissa wore such an elegant, classic breathtaking ivory lace dress from Maggie Sottero's line at Chantilly Lace Bridals and she looked absolutely stunning! Her dress was filled with so much detail and even had a beautiful long train. Her bridesmaids wore classic burgundy dresses that complemented her ivory dress. Adam and his groomsmen wore a sleek navy blue tux, dark gray vest, and burgundy bowtie and boutonniere to compliment the bridesmaid’s dresses.
Melissa and Adam’s reception was filled with candlelit tables under the huge oaks that were strung with lights. The tables had gold and white plating, greenery, and touches of different flowers throughout. They even had an adorable s'mores table and fire going off to the side for their guest to feel like a kid again! While we are talking about sweets, Darlene Warden made their four-tier cake was so elegant and absolutely delicious! It was raspberry filled and covered in a white buttercream icing. They also added real flowers to go around one side of the whole cake. This definitely added the perfect color to make the cake pop!
Wedding flowers are always such a great accent to your wedding. Melissa’s wedding bouquet gave off major bouquet inspiration! Bessis Floral Design created such unique and beautiful wedding florals for their wedding. It included pink roses, blue thistles, burgundy carnations, white hydrangea's, burgundy snapdragons, and multiple greeneries. They also used them throughout the tables, the wedding arch, entryways, and dining area.
The couple had such a memorable beautiful wedding and Melissa Kincaid Photography was there to capture it all! Their wedding was so romantic, they were surrounded by so much love and happiness. Some advice that Melissa recommends when you are planning your wedding is to “plan early and to save money on the things you can do yourself, so you can splurge on the things that mean the most to you. Creating the decorations for the table saved me a tremendous amount of money.”
