We loved hearing about Emma and Karl’s wedding story! The couple’s wedding was intimate and filled with so much elegance at Port Royal Clubhouse at Hilton Head, South Carolina. Even though they had to redesign their wedding due to COVID, they did an amazing job with their ceremony and reception. The 14,000-square-foot mansion-style Clubhouse at Port Royal Golf Club offers indoor and outdoor venues with picturesque views of the fairways and grounds, finely-appointed amenities, and professional catering staff to assist you in planning your event. So if you are planning on getting married in South Carolina, be sure to keep them in mind!
Because of the new last name being Meyer, they decided to have their wedding colors navy and gold in elements of the Meyer lemons. Emma’s mom actually made limoncello in tiny mason jars to give out to guests as party favors which was such a cute and unique idea! They had them on the guest’s tables so guests didn’t forget them. DIY’ing your party favors is a great way to personalize your wedding when sending them off. Speaking of desserts, Emma and Karl’s cake was absolutely stunning and from Publix! It was simple yet elegant and added a cake topper was the perfect touch to make the cake pop.
We LOVED how the ceremony and reception were decorated and filled with so much detail. Because of South Carolina’s heat, the couple got married inside by the fireplace surrounded by so much greenery and candles. Everything about it was classy and romantic! Emma wore a beautiful elegant ball gown dress and Karl wore a nice suit with a matching boutonniere to complement her bouquet. The couple wanted to be simple yet glamorous and that is exactly what they did! We were loving the florals and Emma’s bouquet. They did a white and ivory color palette of peonies, hydrangeas, and greenery with navy and gold accents here and there. From the entrance to the fireplace mantle, the flowers really made a simple banquet space absolutely perfect!
Adding flowers as centerpieces is always a great way to make your reception pop. The tables had beautiful floral centerpieces, candles votives, and gold chargers which went well with ivory napkin linens water falling off the chargers. If you are ever in need of how to decorate your tables, this is the perfect wedding inspiration. The couple also went above and beyond to make their sweetheart table perfect. They had white lanterns and greenery surrounding them and also had a beautiful arbor with greenery and florals around them!
Because the guest list drop due to COVID, Emma and Karl decided to splurge when it came to making the bar and lounge area on the outdoor patio fun. They had the florist provide a greenery backdrop with their name for behind the bar and added seating outside for the guests. This is always a fun idea to have so the guest can interact. They also splurged on having a classic car drive them from the club to the venue! We loved how everything turned out from the ceremony to the reception! The couple ended their night with a classic sparkler exit surrounded by so much love and happiness!
