Charming Beachside Wedding

Charming Beachside Wedding

Camille and Christopher were living in Albania and decided they wanted to have their wedding on Hilton Head. They knew with planning it from such a distance, they would definitely need the help of a wedding planner, so they brought on Amanda Rose Weddings about a year out. An adventurous and loving couple, their wedding included the Lowcountry's sweet tea vodka and almonds from their favorite sweet treats shop. The wedding was a gorgeous combination of blushes, golds, and whites and added a hint of luxury to the beachfront reception. The couple celebrated with a group of their closest family and friends, and enjoyed dancing the night away to a DJ playing their favorite tunes. They both have a love for the beach, and they wanted to incorporate that in their big day. They wanted to have the ceremony on the beach, and an outdoor reception overlooking the sea, which is exactly why the Omni Hilton Head was so perfect for them. It was their perfect dream wedding venue! Since Camille and Chris were planning during the pandemic, covid safety was also a priority, so an outdoor venue was a must. It was also important to them that their guests could travel to the venue easily. Most of their family and friends live on the east coast, and Hilton Head was an easily accessible location for most of them. Since it was a destination wedding, they wanted their wedding to be like a vacation for our guests. As for style, Camille and Chris went for a combination of coastal, low-country, and glamorous. Pink is Camille’s all-time favorite color, so their color palette included blush, cream and gold. If it were just up to Camille, it would have been a totally pink wedding, but Chris wasn’t too keen on that! Overall, their top priority for their wedding was to have a PARTY! Their dance floor was absolutely wild and packed all night, which is exactly what they had hoped! They worked meticulously on their playlists for months, and their DJ was amazing at keeping the party going and playing the songs in the perfect order. Even Camille’s mother was up dancing all night! It was truly the most fun, and memorable night of their lives! For someone who has a hard time making decisions, Camille found her perfect dress fairly easy. She knew she wanted a layered tulle gown, so she scheduled a visit to Bridal Garden in Marlton, NJ, while she was in the U.S. visiting her family. Camille had a list of specific dresses to try on, and her favorite was the Montgomery by Wtoo. Camille’s sister came along with her, and Camille tried about 10 dresses. As soon as she put on the Montgomery dress, she knew it was the one! It was so comfortable and she felt like a total princess! The bridesmaid’s dresses really capture the beachy vibes of the wedding. They entailed pink floral prints which contrasted nicely on the white base.Overall, the bridesmaid’s dresses paired perfectly with Camille’s dress.Chris’s attire is actually a funny story. He had ordered a custom suit, but it was delayed due to the pandemic. Since Camille and Chris live overseas, he wouldn’t receive it in time for their wedding. In a sheer panic, they rushed to the mall in the country where they live. Luckily, it was a success, and Chris purchased his blazer from Aquamarine, and his shirt and pants from Massimo Dutti. They were SO relieved! A lesson for grooms – order your suit well in advance, or, if you don’t have time or want something more casual, there are some wonderful off-the-rack options that can be tailored beautifully. Chris looked so handsome and received so many compliments on his outfit! As far as the groomsmen go, their attire included classic white button up shirts, and navy blue pants. They added in brown leather accessories to top it off. The most important thing to Camille and Chris was that their wedding was a blast, for them and for their guests. They wanted to maximize their time on the dancefloor, and Aimee, their coordinator, helped them create the perfect timeline for that! Camille and Chris’s venue in general was their main splurge, but having an outdoor beach wedding meant that most of the décor included the nature around them! They also splurged on the dinner menu, which was a great decision. They had specialty stations that were amazing, especially the beef and seabass carving stations! They were so happy to treat their guests to a delicious dinner and high-quality bar options. For photos, Camille and Chris wanted some traditional posed photographs, but desired an emphasis on natural candid moments and feelings. Amber Hoecht of Amber Elizabeth Weddings was an absolute dream. Her style was exactly what they wanted for the photos, in which they would cherish for the rest of their lives. Amber’s photography style showcases light and airy notes and she captures moments, emotions, scenery, and the entire essence of a wedding. The detail shots encapsulate a classic elegance, which flowed into the beauty of the theme.Camille and Chris skipped out on videography because they knew that Amber would highlight their memories perfectly through photos, and they didn’t want to feel as though they were “performing” for a video all night. On Camille and Chris’s welcome table, they had a polaroid photo guest book. This was fun for their guests and resulted in a perfect memento for Camille and Chris to remember! They also included photos of their parents and grandparents on their wedding days, to honor them and show that this day was not only about their love, but about a union of two families.Camille and Chris’s flowers were so gorgeous! Camille explains she had a hard time articulating her vision for flowers. Roses are her favorite, so she knew she wanted blush pink and white roses. Camille also wanted the flowers to have beachy boho elements, such as pampas grasses. Gardenias understood exactly what Camille wanted, and their flowers were prettier than she could of imagined! They turned out way better than any of the inspiration photos she saved. Camille and Chris were so happy with the arrangements, and some of their family members who drove to the wedding could take some home, which was wonderful!

Camille and Chris’s cake was beautiful and delicious! It was a three-tier cake with a floral arrangement placed at the center, and textured buttercream icing. The cake flavors were almond and lemon, with raspberry filling. They can’t wait to share the top layer on their one year anniversary! In the final weeks of wedding planning, Camille and her mom were captivated by designing the dessert table. They ordered special plates and stands for cupcakes, parfaits, mini pies, and macaroons, thus creating the perfect layout to display the desserts around the cake. Carrie from Custom Confections is so talented! The desserts were adorable, yummy, and were a huge hit with their guests!Camille and Chris had two sets of favors. “Jordan” almonds were placed on the welcome table for guests to take as they arrived at the reception from the ceremony site. Camille’s mother packaged the almonds in cute little bags with a tag that included the “Jordan” almond wedding tradition poem – “Five sugared almonds for each guest to eat to remind us that life is both bitter and sweet. Five wishes for the new husband and wife: Health, Wealth, Happiness, Children, and a Long Life!”. In the evening, when late-night snacks were served, they put out mini bottles of Sweet Tea Vodka from Firefly, a local distillery, for guests to take home.Photographer: Amber Elizabeth Photography
