Growing up in the South, you will find that many have a deep appreciation about history. Though history does have its flaws, most would admit that Southern History has its share of romance, strength, and charm. The Historic Bleak House exudes all of those traits. Located in Knoxville, Tennessee, this antebellum Classical Revival was built in 1858 for two newlyweds from prominent families. The Bleak House is the perfect location for this styled shoot by Shutter Sprite Photography! But as much as we love the classics, we equally love to follow trends. With raw crystals, mixed metals, and personalized elements, this styled shoot has something for every taste.

The vision behind this styled shoot was Classic Glamour and History meets Modern, Whimsy, and Trendy, with a dose of DIY. Shutter Sprite Photography wanted all of the elements to come together in this one styled shoot. The raw crystals were repeated throughout the styling, from invitation design to decorative details, including a DIY hair fascinator, napkin holders, and a cake topper.

The mixture of classic black and white with mixed metals, refined jewels with raw crystals are the perfect blend of vintage and modern. Swank Floral used a traditional color palette of greenery and white with pops of deep red. The floral designs transformed from tradition to eclectic and whimsical by including rose gold painted floral elements, feathers, and trailing greenery.

The bride wore a stunning Pronovias Dress, provided by Loveliest Bridal. With modern lines, a plunging neckline, and a puddling train; this glamorous gown feels like the bride stepped out of a 1930s red carpet premiere! It was the perfect choice for a classic bride. The bride’s chignon hair was beautifully done by Southern Sirens and was completed with a handmade wrapped crystal comb. Regal Tuxedo dress the groom in the classic black three-piece tuxedo with a straight tie. The outfit was completed with a simple white pocket square.

Catie Cakes created this stunning marble and gold inspired tiered cake that was completed with handmade wrapped crystal adornments. White table chose a mix of clean lined black and white china with classic crystal glassware and mixed metal utensils. A silken napkin was accessorized with a handmade wrapped crystal napkin holder. A full bouquet in a tall vase completed the table scape and pulled all of the design elements in perfectly.

We love this Vintage and Modern styled shoot, and we hope that every couple will find their inspiration for their wedding!
