50 Grand Entrance Songs

Your wedding reception is one event where you can truly make an entrance. You’re filled with joy after saying “I do,” all eyes are on you… but what song is playing?

It’s a perfect time to pump up the crowd for the amazing celebration you’re about to share, and you need a song that fits you as a couple and will set the tone for the rest of the night. But first, you’ll need to decide how you’ll enter.

There are typically four ways to do a grand entrance into your wedding reception:

  • First, and definitely the simplest, is to have the MC announce you, the newlyweds, first, and then have your bridal party follow in behind you. “Ladies and gentlemen, let’s give a warm welcome to the people we’re all here to support, the new Mr. and Mrs. Jones!”. With that, your DJ will press play on your chosen grand entrance song, and you’ll enter the room to lots of cheers and applause, while your smiling bridal party walks in behind you.

  • Similarly, your bridal party can already be in the reception for your grand entrance. Whether they’re seated at a head table, or simply mingling with other guests, your bridal party can be part of the crowd who welcomes you into your wedding reception.

  • Another option is to have the emcee introduce each member of the bridal party as they walk in to the reception. They can either be called by name, or the emcee can use this opportunity to give a brief introduction of each person. If you're feeling extra creative, and your DJ is on board, you can also choose a different song for each couple as they walk in, which is an awesome way to add a little humor to the grand entrance. In this situation, the bride and groom to enter last (to thunderous applause, of course)! You can also choose to have one song for the wedding party to enter to, and a different song for the newlyweds. To keep it as simple as possible, you can choose one song for everyone, and have it playing quietly in the background as each bridesmaid or groomsman is introduced, and then turned up nice and loud for the bride and groom’s entrance.

  • Lastly, your bridal party can enter as a group, followed by you and your new spouse. This is another really simple way to do your grand entrance, as your bridal party doesn’t need to enter in any particular order, they simply walk in and take their seats at the head table when they’re introduced.

Now that we’ve covered how to do it, let’s get to the fun part - choosing a Grand Entrance song! Here are some of our favorites from all different genres.
