DIY Mason Jar Wedding Favors

It does not get any cuter than these pie in a jar wedding favors! Items You Will Need:

• DIY Kit from Custom Love Gifts (includes pre-cut fabric for lids and twine or ribbon.) You can also use empty mason jars with lids. 
• Graham Crackers or Graham Cracker crumbs.
• Pie filling (your choice of flavor.)
• Butter
• Cinnamon and Sugar

Step 1: Make Pie Crust

Pie Crust Ingredients:

• 1 1/2 cups finely ground graham cracker crumbs
• 1/3 cup white sugar
• 6 tablespoons butter, melted
• 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• Tip: Crust packs best in the bottom of the jar when fresh and warm.

Combine Graham Cracker crumbs, melted butter, sugar, and cinnamon in a bowl.  Pack into bottom and sides of the jars

Step 2: Fill Jar

Layer pie crust and filling until the jar is full. If your pie filling requires you to bake the crust before adding the filling, bake your first layer of pie crust for 7 minutes on 375 degrees. Make sure to keep any filling from touching the rim. Any left over residue from the pie ingredients on the jar rim will not allow for a tight seal.

Step 3: Bake and Decorate

Bake your pies in a jar without a lid for 30-35 minutes on 475 degrees (pie fillings may vary in baking directions.) It is easiest to put your jars on a cookie sheet before placing them in the oven.
